Professional
I have drawn since early childhood and painted for more than 25 years. My paintings hang in homes everywhere from California to Bulgaria. The collectors who own them range in age from 25 to 95 years old – they are waiters, sportswriters, specialists in international relations, teachers, homemakers, electricians, retirees, salespeople, actors, nonprofit administrators, CEOs.

I hold an MFA from Brooklyn College and a BFA from University of Iowa, have exhibited in Maryland and New York, and have taught art at the high school and college levels. Before jumping into full-time painting, I also enjoyed – and learned invaluable lessons and skills – working for an organization and a college providing support, training, and opportunities for artists, and in art sales and marketing.

Personal
I grew up in northwest Ohio, in a large, close-knit family. I’ve lived and painted in Iowa, Maine, Utah, and New York City, and currently reside in Maryland with my husband, Stephen DeLuca (also an artist), and our Cairn terrier, Tuffy. Steve and I founded a consortium of artists in 1997 that still meets regularly for life drawing and spirited discussion. We also enjoy walking, cycling, reading, watching movies, and entertaining family, fellow artists and other friends in our colorful Victorian-era home.
